1) As brothers and sisters in the household of God, saved only by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ through faith in his death and resurrection, we do now, relying on His gracious help, solemnly and joyfully renew our covenant with each other. (John 1:12, 6:63, 16:7-11; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13)
2) We will work together to continually shape the life of our church according to the Bible, the faith once for all delivered to the saints. (Jude 1:3)
3) We will work and pray for the unity of the Spirit, not insisting on our own way but submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ. (1 Corinthians 13:5; Ephesians 4:1-3, 5:21)
4) We will walk together in love as brothers and sisters, a family of sinners saved by grace.
We will serve selflessly, encourage frequently, correct gently, and receive correction humbly.
We will do this regardless of religious background, ethnicity, or economic status. (John 13:34-35; Romans 12:10; Galatians 3:28, 6:1; Ephesians 4:15, 29-31; Hebrews 3:13; James 2:1-8, 5:16)
5) We will resist the temptation to hide our struggles and sins, so that we might experience the grace of God through the care of his saints. (Rom. 15:7; 1 John 1:6-10; James 5:16)
6) We will recognize our need for Christian fellowship by regularly attending the gatherings of the church. (Proverbs 18:1; Hebrews 10:24-25; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27)
7) We will contribute cheerfully and regularly to support the ministry of the word, the expenses of our church, help for the poor, and the spread of the Gospel to all nations. (Malachi 3:8-10, Matthew 10:10, 28:19-20; Luke 12:33; Acts 1:8, 2:42, 11:29; 2 Corinthians 8:1-5, 9:7; Galatians 6:6; Ephesians 4:28)
8) We will prayerfully and diligently encourage our family, friends, and neighbors to follow Jesus. (Deuteronomy 6:6-7, 1 Corinthians 7:12-16, Ephesians 6:4, 1 Peter 3:15)
9) We will seek God’s help to remain faithful, even when it brings suffering or loss. We will help one another to endure persecution with joy, trusting Christ who suffered for us and promises never to leave or forsake us. (Mark 10:29-31, 2 Corinthians 1:6, 1 Peter 2:19,
Hebrews 13:5)
10) If we leave this church, we will commit to another gospel-preaching church as soon as possible. (Hebrews 10:24-25; 13:17)
11) May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all. Amen. (2 Corinthians 13:14)
