We are an elder led, deacon served, and congregationally governed church. This means that we strive to follow what we believe to be the model of church governance given to us in the New Testament. Our church is led by a group of elders who devote themselves to teaching and shepherding the believers who make up the church. Our church is served by deacons who care for the physical and practical needs of the church. And major decisions are made by the congregation, that is, those believers who have covenanted together as the members of the church.
Cory
ElderCory serves the church full time as its senior pastor. He is married and has three children. Cory is constantly amazed that God allows him to preach the unsearchable riches of Christ and shepherd God’s people in Duhok. In his free time, Cory enjoys spending time with his family, reading, running, and enjoying God’s creation. Cory holds an M.Div. from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.

ElderRyan works full time for an international NGO, and serves the church as a lay elder.
